Easy Spring Table Runner Sewing Tutorial

Since it’s the season of spring, you might want to match your table runner to the theme! Here’s a video tutorial by The Sewing Room Channel on YouTube to show you how easy it is to make such pretty table runners. You only need 2 fabrics and very few easy steps to sew it. Materials:
- Main fabric
- Lining fabric
- Fusible interfacing
- Ribbon trim
- Marking pen
- Pins
- Scissors
- Sewing machine
- Iron
Directions:
Step 1
Grab your fabric and cut it into about 18 inches wide and 40 inches long (short table runner) or 80 inches long (long table runner). Lay the fabrics together with their wrong sides together, then sew them on one of their shorter sides, and press the seams open. Cut the salvaged edges off. Grab the fusible interfacing, then attach it to either the main or lining fabric.

Step 2
Cut off about 4 pieces of ribbon trim that’s about 18 inches wide, then sew them on both sides of each fabric. Then, fold the fabric over so that their right sides are facing each other once more, and pin them all around in place. Curve the 4 corners of the fabric evenly, then sew it around leaving only a small gap on one side unsewn. Make sure to remove all of the pins around, then make notches on the curves, and turn it right side out. Stitch the gap close.
