Mushrooms are delicious either you bake, saute, or even if you make them into a soup. But, have you tried coating them in a tasty batter and then deep-frying them? It was the best version of cooked mushrooms, in my opinion, those crunchy golden brown goodness are enough to satisfy anyone’s cravings. This is also very easy to make and uses only a few ingredients. Learn how to make it through The Cooking Foodie on YouTube.
For the mushrooms
For the dipping sauce
Step 1
In a medium-size bowl, add in the all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, dried oregano, and baking powder, then stir it until well combined. Gradually pour in the sparkling water or just plain water, give it a good whisk until the texture becomes smooth. If the batter is too runny, then you can add 1 to 2 tablespoons more flour, however, if the batter is too thick, then you can instead add in 1 to 2 tablespoons of water. Set it aside.

Step 2
Wash and clean the mushrooms well. Then, start cutting them into thick slices, dip each piece into the prepared batter mixture before coating them into the breadcrumbs. Do this until you’re done coating all of the mushroom slices. Heat oil in a pan, then fry the sliced coated mushrooms for 1 to 2 minutes before flipping it, then fry it for 1 more minute until both sides are golden and crunchy. Transfer it to a paper towel to drain off excess oil. Make the sauce by simply combining the chili sauce with mayonnaise, then mixing it together until smooth.
