With all the baking that we did the past holidays, most of us sure ended up with greased and dirty sheet pans. You can clean them the usual way you clean dishes but it’s not thorough enough to remove all those dark marks and make them shiny as new. It’s quite stressful and disappointing to see your sheet pans burnt and stained but can’t remove them completely no matter how hard you scrub. That’s why I’m sharing this technique with you which I’ve been using for years now. I found this tutorial by Kitchen Tips Online via YouTube and I can assure you that it was indeed very effective.
Step 1
The first thing that you’ll need to do is to put the sheet pan in the sink to give it a good rinse. Next is to spray it with a cleaning solution (easy-off), then let it rest for 15 minutes (easy-off is not recommended to be used on aluminum. However, it does not penetrate the metal or remain on the surface after the recommended rinsing instructions).

Step 2
After leaving the solution on the sheet pan for about 15 or 20 minutes, take a sos or brillo pad and scrub off the remaining grease and/or sticky stuff. If the dirt was already there for a long time or it has build-up too much, then you might need to use extra force to scrub it off totally. Rinse it with hot water, then wash it with regular dish detergent and then rinse any leftover residue.
