A few days ago, we’ve celebrated Thanksgiving and for sure a lot of households have tin cans piling up from all the canned ingredients that were used for preparing meals for the dinner table. It could be a real headache seeing the bunch of tin cans, but it doesn’t always have to end up in the trash. This tutorial by A Well Purposed Woman on YouTube will show you how to recycle and decorate used tin cans into adorable Christmas decors in very few and easy steps.
1. Yarn Tin Can Supplies
Spray the tin can with primer then let it dry, apply hot glue on the bottom and attach a round-shaped cork. Attach and crap the chunky yarn around the bottom until you reach the top of the can.
2. Sweater Can Supplies
Insert the can in the sleeve of the sweater, push the end of the sleeve inside the can then cut the excess on the bottom and hot glue the sweater to the can.

3. Birch Log or Log Can Supplies
Cover the tin can with primer, attach the logs around the can, and put a cork on the bottom of the can.
4. Ribbon Tin Can Supplies
Wrap a large ribbon around the tin can and cover the bottom with a cork.
5. Gnome Tin Can Supplies
Insert the tin can on a sock and push until it reaches the bottom, cut off the extra fabric before attaching it with hot glue. Choose a fabric for the gnome hat, cut out using a pattern then glue the two edges of the triangle. Cut a faux fur for the beard, glue to the bottom half. Attach the hat to the top of the tin can and glue the wooden bead in between the hat and beard.
6. Burlap Tin Can Supplies
Attach a cork to the bottom, wrap the burlap around the can and fill the inside with paper. Decorate the top and bottom with black velvet then wrap a burlap ribbon in the middle of the can.
7. Music Sheet Tin Can Supplies
Spray paint the tin can with bronze or any dark color, cut the music sheet, and wrap it around the can. Fill the inside with paper, sprinkle glitter randomly, and cover with mod podge. Glue a lace ribbon in the middle and a regular ribbon at the bottom of the can. Decorate with a pine cone or whatever embellishment is available.
8. Lace Tin Can Supplies
Cover the can with white paper as well as the inside, wrap a lace ribbon to the top. Layer desired lace ribbon design, loop twine around, and tie a bow. Glue a cork at the bottom and design with a pine cone or whatever embellishment is available.
9. Snow Mod Podge Tin Can Supplies
Cover the tin can with white paint and apply mod podge, sprinkle fake snow until the can is covered. Wrap a brown ribbon around the middle of the can. Decorate with a pine cone or whatever embellishment is available.
10. Spray Paint Tin Can Supplies
Drill two holes on each side of the can, spray paint in black color. Tie a jute twine in the two holes and knot, wrap a ribbon in the middle. Decorate with a pine cone or whatever embellishment is available.
