These wool flowers are so adorable and make the perfect addition to any crochet or knitting project. Merry Craft was a genius to figure out a way to make these beautiful flowers using plastic straws, an object most people already have. These would even be perfect to attach to a headband, hair tie, or clip.
Start by cutting three straws. If you have the bendy kind, you will want to cut off that part.
Fold your straws in half and then cut the side of the straws leaving a diamond shape on each side of two of the three straws.
Attach the two straws with holes in them together. Poke one into the other to create an “X” shape. Make sure that the holes are lined up, then poke the straw without holes in it into the other two. You should have a flower shape now.

Begin wrapping yarn around the straws. To get the yarn started, create a loop around on spike in the straws and then repeat that process as you work your way around the straws.
Once you’ve wrapped your yarn around enough times to make a flower shape, use your yarn needle to attach the yarn.
If you feel like the flower is secure, you can remove the straws from the flower.

Begin attaching the pearl beads to the flower. Use your yarn needle to do this step. Once they are all in place how you want them, that’s it. You’re done and have created a wool flower in just a few minutes.
