Those fancy-looking side tables at department stores can be pretty expensive, so why not make one your own? This DIY dollar tree side table from Lots of glitter And shiii on Youtube only uses two laundry baskets, but the result is amazing! What’s more, you only need to spend $5 – inexpensive, right? It’s also super easy to make! Watch the video tutorial below to learn.

Materials:

  • 2 pcs. dollar tree laundry baskets
  • marbles
  • glue and glue gun
  • e6000 adhesive glue
  • construction adhesive
  • rust-oleum metallic gold spray paint

Directions:

Step 1

Glue the bigger marbles around the bottom of the basket. Next, go down the lines of the basket with the hot glue, then glue the smaller marbles. (You can also first dab an e6000 adhesive, then a dab of hot glue on each marble and glue it down.) Cover the entire basket with these smaller marbles. Do this process also to the other basket.

Step 2

After gluing the marbles, take the e6000 adhesive glue and put it on the back of the marbles inside of the basket. Next, put construction adhesive on the outer bottom of the basket, then attach the other basket. Let the glue dry for at least 24 hours. After it dried, take some bigger marbles and glue them between each row of marbles. Glue some marbles also on the part where the two basket meets to cover up the separation. After this, take the table outside and spray paint it with gold. Let it dry.
