I was blown away when I saw this DIY project and since I didn’t have any pine cones I ran to the craft store right after I saw this because I simply had to have one!

This is one of the coolest and most genius craft project I’ve seen in a long time. I love zinnias and it never occurred to me that, with some paint, pinecones resemble them. I was so amazed!

When you turn a pinecone upside down you’ll definitely see how it looks like a zinnia!

Who on earth knew that zinnias would be hiding in such a place? Right on the bottom side of a perfectly regular pine cone?I sure didn’t. A little paint and there you have zinnias that never ever fade. I just can’t get over how brilliant this is!

All you need is acrylic craft paint of your choice, a medium to large brush and you’ll be well on your way to a perfect bouquet of zinnias.

These make great for gifts for any occasion and there are so many things you can do with these, from centerpieces to wreaths and more!

They look beautiful just sitting in a bowl in your home…adds the perfect pop of color! So, if you find yourself kicking around pine cones on your walks, pick up a few.

I saw that someone on Etsy is selling these wreaths for $55, so this could be a great opportunity to make a little money too!

I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
