This is a very easy way to make a quilt that looks really complicated. It’s such a fascinating design and quite different from most of the quilt designs I’ve seen.

Weave your favorite colors together into a stunning yet simple quilt. The design seems complex but it’s quite easy to stitch together.

Eight fat quarters are used to create the woven strips, and a yard of a solid background color to contrast with them and to complement the design.

Keep in mind that jelly rolls work great for making a quilt like this. Get creative and choose a beautiful combination that you love and you’ll have a stunning quilt once it’s done.
The design looks amazing on a bed.  Right now I’m playing with a woven throw for the family room using some traditional large scale leafy prints I’ve hoarded. So many ideas. So much fabric. So little time. Can you relate?
Laura Coia is such a great teacher and always seems to make her sewing projects look so easy. She does it again in this step by step tutorial that you must check out!

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
