I am swooning over this woven basket bag, and even more obsessed with how easy it was to make! With very few supplies, you can create this adorable bag by following this super simple DIY video from eHow. This bag has become my new go-to bag for the summer. It is a perfect size for on the go, was easy to make, and only took a minimal amount of sewing.
Measure out the webbing you have chosen to your desired size. this will be the lining of the inside of your bag, so you will want to make sure you leave a big enough opening at the top.
Cut strands of rope to the size of the jute webbing. Make sure you leave enough room on each side of the webbing to attach it to your rattan trivets. Glue the rope strands to the webbing using fabric glue, or sew them down. Trim off any of the frayed edges.

Attach the webbing to the rattan trivets using your glue or by hand sewing it. Do both for extra reinforcement.

Cut a strip of leather 52 inches long to use as your bag strap. Fold the strip in half and glue it together. Finally, glue the strap to the bag to hold it into place, then attach it to the bag by sewing it.
