When I found this 15-minute winter penguin by Miriam’s Crafting Cottage, on YouTube, I had to add this to my Christmas display. Just when I thought I had my Christmas display completely finished, I found this lovely penguin and had to make it. This penguin idea is one of the cutest sock animal projects I have ever made, and it looks so amazing wherever you put it.

Materials For The 15-Minute Winter Penguin:

  • A pair of scissors
  • A hot glue gun
  • Buttons (for the penguin’s eyes)
  • 4 cups of rice (make sure and freeze the rice before you use it to make sure it doesn’t have weevils)
  • Black sock (for the body)
  • Any material for the scarf and hat
  • Twine
  • Clear rubber bands (if you can find them, if not use what you have)
  • Measuring tape (to measure the hat and body parts)
  • A piece of paper for the stencil

Since I lover experiments, I’ve alwaysnloved to create, paint, as well as cook and style food. I feel in love with DIY as soon as I discovered it and could not have been more excited when I learned I could share projects with people around the world. Taking photos is a passion of mine, as is design and painting with oils. I love holidays and celebrations, crafting cute little gifts and serving up at least one new recipe I am excited about.
