When I found this 15-minute winter penguin by Miriam’s Crafting Cottage, on YouTube, I had to add this to my Christmas display. Just when I thought I had my Christmas display completely finished, I found this lovely penguin and had to make it. This penguin idea is one of the cutest sock animal projects I have ever made, and it looks so amazing wherever you put it.
Materials For The 15-Minute Winter Penguin:
- A pair of scissors
- A hot glue gun
- Buttons (for the penguin’s eyes)
- 4 cups of rice (make sure and freeze the rice before you use it to make sure it doesn’t have weevils)
- Black sock (for the body)
- Any material for the scarf and hat
- Twine
- Clear rubber bands (if you can find them, if not use what you have)
- Measuring tape (to measure the hat and body parts)

This is a really sweet looking project that is perfect for any age group. I ended up making a few more penguins so I could use them as stocking stuffers for the family, I know they are all going to love them.
