Recently I found this Victorian Christmas gin punch recipe by English Heritage, on YouTube, and I really wanted to surprise my English relatives when they join us for Christmas this year. This Christmas is so important to me because I haven’t seen my British relatives in so long, so I have been super busy finding recipes to make them feel really at home. Gin is such a classic drink, and this punch recipe is more of a cocktail than most punches, so it is great for a party.

Ingredients For The Victorian Christmas Gin Punch Recipe:

  • 250 grams of brown sugar
  • 7 lemons
  • 750 ml. of gin
  • 750 ml. of ginger wine
  • 250 grams of honey
  • A pinch of cloves
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of nutmeg
  • Hot water

Directions:

In this Victorian Christmas gin punch recipe by English Heritage, on YouTube, you will learn to make this historic punch in a few easy steps. You begin by slicing all your lemons, then adding the honey, and the spices. Then, you will pour hot water over the lemon-honey mixture to bring out all of the oils from the lemons, and this will melt your honey down so you won’t have big clumps floating in the punch.
