I love cabbage rolls, but sometimes, I wish making them were simpler and easier without all those rigorous steps. Luckily, I found this recipe from Keri Pratt on YouTube. This unstuffed cabbage roll recipe is the uncomplicated version of cabbage rolls. It lets you have all the flavors of the famous dish but is easier and much simpler to make.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 2 – 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1 small green cabbage chopped
  • 2 (14.5 oz) cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Directions:

Step 1

In a large skillet, brown your ground beef, then add the minced garlic and diced onion. Continue to cook until fragrant and crumbly (about five to seven minutes). After this, drain the excess liquid, then add the 4 cups of chopped cabbage, two cans of diced tomatoes, and one can of tomato sauce. Season with 1 tsp paprika, 1 tbsp of brown sugar, 2 tsp salt, and 1 tsp of ground black pepper.
