This super soft classic soufflé by MoLaLa Cook is incredibly hard to resist! It is light as a feather and will surely impress everyone. With its creamy and sweet taste and melt-in-your-mouth texture, I’m sure it will be gone in just a few minutes. You can choose whether you like it to be savory or sweet. If you want it as a main dish, you can serve it with asparagus, cauliflower, potatoes, bacon, or green salad.

To make this vanilla soufflé, you will need eggs, sugar, all-purpose flour, cornstarch, milk, butter, vanilla, lemon juice, sugar, and icing sugar. Most of these are probably already in your pantry. When you make this at home, make sure all your ingredients are at room temperature. You can also serve it with berries for a delicious dessert.

Start by separating the egg yolks from the egg whites in two different bowls. Set the egg whites aside.
Add the sugar to the egg yolks and beat well. Sift the all-purpose flour and cornstarch directly to the the mixture and whisk until well combined.
Pour the milk and unsalted butter in a small pot. Mix, then place over heat until warm. Once it’s warm, pour it over the mixture and mix well.
Pour it back to the pot and place over heat. Continuously mix until it becomes thick. Transfer to the bowl.
Add the vanilla and mix well. Cover it with cling wrap and let it chill for about 20 minutes.
Brush the inside of the mugs with butter, then dust with sugar.
Beat the 2 egg whites and add a little bit of lemon juice. While whisking, add 2 1/2 tablespoons of sugar. Beat until soft peaks form.
Remove the mixture from the fridge and whisk. Add a small amount of whipped egg whites and mix. Fold in the remaining.
Fill in the cups and flatten the top. Be sure to remove excess from the edges to allow them to rise.
Bake at 356f to 374F for about 15 to 20 minutes. Once done baking dust with icing sugar on top.
