Ingredients:

  • 2 small cabbage heads
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt or to taste
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • Pepper flakes, optional

Directions:

Step 1

First, cut the stems off the cabbage heads, then cut each one in half, and in half again. You should have four flat discs of cabbage that are about ¾ to 1 inch thick from each head. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, then place the cabbage steaks in it making sure to include enough spaces in between each cabbage to allow them to cook evenly.

Step 2

Brush each piece of cabbage with olive oil until well coated, then generously sprinkle the salt, garlic powder, and paprika all over them, and then flip the cabbage over. Brush them with oil and sprinkle the same seasonings. You can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to each one if desired. Put them in the preheated oven at 400°F and let them bake for about 25 minutes or until the leaves are nice and brown and the center is tender. Serve immediately.
