For the homemade donuts:
For the chocolate glaze:
Start by preheating your oven to 350F, then lightly spray the donut trays with baking spray and flour.
In a large bowl, add flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Whisk to combine.
In a medium bowl, add milk, egg, butter, and vanilla extract. Whisk until well combined.
Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture and whisk until well combined. Transfer the mixture to a piping bag or zip-top bag, then snip off the tip.
Pipe about 1/4 cup of the batter into each donut well. It should fill each well to the top edge.
Place the tray inside the preheated oven and bake for about 8 to 10 minutes. To check insert a wooden pick into the center, if it comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs, it is done. Let the donuts cool for 5 minutes before inverting onto a cooling rack.
Make the chocolate glaze. Add the chocolate chips, cream, and butter into a medium heat-proof bowl. Melt using the double boiler method, stirring until smooth. Remove from the saucepan.
Dip the cooled donut in the homemade chocolate glaze, then place it back on the wire rack. Top with sprinkles then let them set for about 20 minutes.
