Ingredients:

  • 1 box of Pillsbury yellow cake mix
  • 2 medium bags of frozen strawberries
  • chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 tub of Cool Whip
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup of sugar

Directions:

Step 1

Put the strawberries in a large bowl and add 1/4 cup of sugar. Let them sit for about 30 minutes. In the meantime, prepare the cake batter according to the box instructions. After this, pour them into the cake pan and bake. (Divide the batter into two cake molds as you’ll need two separate cake layers in the punch bowl.) Once done baking, let the cake cool down, then cut it into small pieces. Put them in the bottom of the punch bowl, then layer half of the strawberries. Set aside. In another bowl, combine 1 tub of Cool Whip, 1 can of condensed milk, 1 tbsp lemon juice, and some chopped pecans. Mix well, then pour half of the mixture over the strawberries.

Step 2

Now, slice the second cake into small pieces (half of the cake only), and layer them on top of the cream mixture followed by the last half of the strawberries. Finally, add the last half of the cream mixture, spreading it nicely and evenly. Add some chopped pecans for garnish.
