Cut your flank steak across the grain, then transfer it into a bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Mix everything until well incorporated. Set aside.
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated steak and arrange it in a single layer. Cook for about 3 minutes until golden brown. After 3 minutes, toss it together and cook for a minute more until it’s no longer pink. Make sure not to overcook it. Remove from pan and set aside for later.
In the same pan, saute the sliced onions until translucent. Add the broccoli florets and cook for 3 minutes.
While cooking the broccoli, make the sauce. In a large bowl, add 1/2 cup of beef stock, 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 4 cloves of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of chopped ginger, 3 tablespoons of brown sugar, and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Mix it all together.
Once the broccoli is cooked, add the sauce and the cooked steak. Mix everything and cook for about 3 minutes to bring all the sauce together. Once the sauce gets thick, it’s done. Serve it with rice for a wonderful meal. Enjoy!
