This recipe from HOME COOK HERO doesn’t need a lot of ingredients, and I bet you already have all the veggies in your pantry. Your family will surely love this, and you’ll have clean plates after dinner. Check out the video below for the full recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 1 head of cabbage
  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 14 oz tomato sauce
  • red bell pepper
  • green bell pepper
  • white onion
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder

Directions:

Step 1

Remove the outer leaves of the cabbage, then slice it in half. Remove the core in the center, then roughly chop it. Next, de-seed the green and red bell peppers and roughly chop them into pieces along with the white onion. Now, break and brown your ground beef into a large heavy-bottomed pot, then drain the excess liquid. Season with 1 tbsp garlic powder, 1 tsp of ground black pepper, and 1 tsp cajun seasoning. Mix well.

Step 2

Now, add the chopped cabbage, place the lid on, and cook for 20 minutes. Once the leaves are nice and wilted, add 1 tbsp tomato paste and 14 oz tomato sauce. Mix well. Next, stir in the chopped red and green bell peppers and the onions. Season with 1 tbsp garlic powder, some salt, and ground black pepper. Mix everything well, then put on the lid, and cook for about 25 to 30 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
