Since the holiday is almost upon us, it is very important for you to keep in mind that the food is not the only thing you need to prepare for, but also the chores and accidents or little mishaps that might happen during the party. Here’s Clean My Space on YouTube to help you out with common party or holiday hosting tips that we sometimes overlook.
Tip #1: Prepare for Stains
Prepare a stain kit ready for any spills or stain your guests might cause. It can be a simple basket with a stain pre-treater or fill it with hydrogen peroxide, dish soap, a toothbrush, a paper towel roll, and a little bowl. Once you spot a stain, pat the stain dry with a paper towel, then apply a mixture of 2 parts hydrogen peroxide with 1 part of dish soap, and gently apply it onto the stain using a cleaning toothbrush. Flush it with water by blotting a wet paper towel and repeating as needed.

Tip #2: Prepare a Closet Space
Your guests are surely going to bring a lot of winter gear, so be prepared to receive them by having a space in a front hall closet for shoes and boots, then clear out the closet or area you normally receive people in by moving your items to another area.
Tip #3: Avoid Last-Minute Laundry
Whether you’re hosting just for the evening or overnight, make sure that the laundry is done ahead of time. Plan your laundry in advance of the party date even if it’s a week ahead of time. It is important that you wash the table linens, blankets, or towels in advance.
Tip #4: Pre-setting the Table
Before the party date, make sure to set up the table by putting the tablecloth and napkins in place, then let the kids help because they will love to help out with this kind of task, and all you have to worry about on the date of the event is the food that you need to cook.
