For the potato layer
- 3 lbs of russet potatoes (peeled and diced small)
- 2/3 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of butter (sliced)
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
For the chicken layer
- 2 lbs of chicken breasts (cubed into 1-inch pieces)
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1 teaspoon of parsley
Next layers (in order)
- 10.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup
- 6 oz turkey stove top stuffing (or chicken flavor)
- 1/2 cup of salted butter (sliced)
- 1 lb of frozen green beans
- 10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup
- 8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup of french fried onions

How to Make Thanksgiving Casserole With Crockpot
Step 1:
Spray non-stick spray on your slow cooker
Step 2:
Add the peeled and diced potatoes to the slow cooker, followed by the milk. Place the butter slices on top of the potatoes – make sure to spread them evenly. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Step 3:
Cube the chicken and add to a bowl. Add salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and parsley. Stir until they are coated with the seasonings, then add to the slow cooker over the potatoes.
Step 4:
Add the next layers in order – make sure to spread each layer out evenly over the next: cream of mushroom soup, stuffing mix, sliced butter, green beans, cream of chicken soup, then mozzarella cheese.
Step 5:
Place the lid of the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours or until the edges are a little bit browned, the top bubbling, and the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165F. The potatoes should be fork-tender. Cooking time will depend on your actual appliance.
