Ingredients:

  • 3 & 1/2 lbs ribs
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Directions:

Step 1

Cut your ribs into two equal parts, then flip them over and remove the thick membrane. (This part can prevent the ribs from absorbing flavors so it’s best to remove them.) Pat the meat completely dry and season it with some spices. In a bowl, combine 3 tbsp brown sugar, 2 tsp chili powder, 2 tsp paprika, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp dried thyme, salt, and black pepper to taste. Mix everything together and rub it on both sides of the ribs.

Step 2

After seasoning them well, place one-half of the ribs into the slow cooker, then pour 1/2 cup of bbq sauce all over it. (You can use a brush to evenly spread the sauce.) After this, place the other half of the ribs on top, then pour in the remaining of the bbq sauce. Put on the lid of the slow cooker, set it on low, and cook for eight hours.
