Ingredients:

  • 15.25 ounces of devil’s food cake mix
  • 1 cup of water
  • ½ cup of salted butter, melted
  • 3 eggs
  • 8 ounces package of mini Reese’s peanut butter cups

Topping

  • 1 cup of creamy peanut butter
  • 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar
  • 10 bite-size pieces of Reese’s peanut butter cups

Directions:

Step 1

Prepare a large mixing bowl, then pour in the devil’s food cake mix, add in the eggs, water, and butter, and mix them together until the consistency becomes smooth. If you see some lumps, it’s normal and you can leave them be. Add in the mini peanut butter cups, then fold them in the mixture until incorporated. Spray your slow cooker with a non-stick cooking spray, then pour in the batter and spread it out into a nice and even layer. Cover with a lid and cook it on a high setting for about 2 hours without removing the lid while it is cooking.

Step 2

Once it is done cooking, remove the cake from the heat to avoid it from cooking any further. Place a small pan on a stove over medium heat, then add in the peanut butter, and give it a good stir until melted and smooth. Make sure to keep an eye on it as it burns pretty quickly. Add in the powdered sugar and whisk them together until well combined and smooth. Pour this mixture over the warm cake, then top it with mini peanut butter cups. Serve and pair with ice cream or whipped cream.
