I love berries, and this slow cooker berry cobbler recipe by The Recipe Rebel is very simple and easy. It’s a great dessert recipe that uses fresh or frozen berries that will make an amazing sweet treat year-round. It takes only about 10 ingredients to make this, and the slow cooker will do all of the cooking. I’m not a big cobbler person when it comes to other fruits, but I love the way berries taste when they’re cooked together with a nice golden crust. This would be an easy dessert to make for a casual gathering. I would love to make this no matter what type of weather it is too.
First, start off by making the cobbler batter. Mix all of the ingredients in a large bowl and set that aside. Then, in another bowl, mix the berry ingredients to make the berry mixture. You can use fresh or frozen berries.
Next, once the two components are finished, add the batter at the bottom of the slow cooker. Spread the berry mixture on top of the dough and cook on HIGH for 2-3 hours.
I love cobblers with a scoop of ice cream because it meshes and balances out the tartness of the berries. I remember going to a restaurant and got the berry cobbler, and that’s what inspired me to make my own. I didn’t realize how simple it can be to make this in a slow cooker. Slow cookers are so popular when it comes to desserts or any meal.
