Have you ever wondered why your shoes are stinky and smelly even if they’re a new pair? Well, you’re not the only one who experiences this. When we use our shoes, it absorbs the sweat from our feet, and because of the moisture trapped in the shoes, it eventually causes bacteria to produce which creates a stinky smell. However, you can deodorize your shoes and make them sparkling clean and white again using only shaving cream. Proceed to read down below for the full instructions and watch Andrea Jean Cleaning‘s video tutorial on YouTube as well.

Materials:

  • Shaving cream
  • Microfiber cloth

Directions:

Step 1

Apply a generous amount of shaving cream inside your shoe, then grab a microfiber cloth, and rub some shaving cream around the exterior of the shoe, especially the rubber areas. Next, spread the shaving cream inside the shoe using your microfiber cloth, and push it further inside the shoe until it reaches the toe area. Leave it to sit for up to overnight and let the alcohol content of the shaving cream kill all of the bacteria on your shoe.

The next morning, give it a good rinse under hot water making sure to get everything out, then set it outside in a sunny area to dry completely. You can also put this in the dryer but make sure to put it inside a bag first to avoid it from getting ruined, do this step at your own risk.
