#1: Garlic

If you live in zone 9B or 10A you might have to wait until October or November before you plant it, but if not, you can do it right now. Get the garlic on the ground before the ground freezes.

#2: Spinach

This a fast-growing seed that only takes 30 days from seed to harvest. You can plant them now while the temperature is still warm.

#3: Radish

This is also a quick crop to grow as it only needs 25 days from seed to harvest. You can plant this as long as there will be no ground freezes next month or so.

#4: Bunching Onions

This crop is easy to grow from kitchen scraps, just save the bottom or a couple of inches of the white parts with roots and some greens, then plant them in the ground, and wait for them to grow for about 2 weeks.

#5: Kale

This crop is versatile and takes only 50 days from seed to harvest. It’s heat-resistant and can live through snow or frost, so you can plant them anytime you want.
