Rinse the chicken wings with water and dry them with paper towel.
Place the dried chicken wings in a bowl, and add 4 tablespoons of soy sauce, 4 teaspoons of brown sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper. Mix until the wings are evenly coated with the marinade. Set aside and let them marinate for 20 minutes. You can also place them on a zip lock bag. Mix after the 10 minute mark.
Place a pan over medium heat and add a small amount of oil. Add the chicken wings in a single layer and all the marinade. Cover the pan with the lid and set the heat to medium low. Let it cook for 5 minutes.
After 5 minutes, lower the heat and turn them over to pan fry the other side. They should have a nice color by now. Cover the pan again and fry for another 5 minutes.
Turn the heat back to medium. Let the sauce boil more while turning the wings every 15 to 20 seconds. Pay close attention as the sauce evaporates, and the wings become brown very fast.
Remove from the pan and serve with your preferred side dish.
