Ingredients:

  • 1 pack whole fresh mushroom
  • 1 tbs vegetable oil
  • 1 (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 lb pork sausage
  • 1/3 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 tbsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp onion, minced
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 3 tsp dried basil
  • 1 1/2 tsp dried parsley
  • 3 tbs butter, melted

Directions:

Step 1:

Rub a stick of butter onto a baking dish to add flavor and at the same time avoid the mushroom from sticking.

Step 2:

Using a damp paper towel, remove the dirt of the mushroom or you can run it under water instead (however, running it under water may make the mushroom puff as it absorbs moisture easily). Remove and cut the stem then set it aside for the filling.

In a skillet, add your cooking oil and fry the sausage, chopped mushroom stem, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Add the cream cheese and continue stirring until melted. Then, add the parmesan cheese and the bread crumbs. Stir until fully combined.

Step 5:

Brush the butter on each mushroom cap, spoon the mixture, and stuff each mushroom cap evenly.
