I love just about any dish with mushroom in it, name it and I would eat it. Mushrooms are easy to prepare, tasty, and also healthy. It is a rich source of fiber, protein, and antioxidants, and since the holidays are coming, guaranteed there’ll be a lot of food on the table. So why not try this quick and easy appetizer recipe that’s not only delicious but also healthy? Step 1:
Rub a stick of butter onto a baking dish to add flavor and at the same time avoid the mushroom from sticking.
Step 2:
Using a damp paper towel, remove the dirt of the mushroom or you can run it under water instead (however, running it under water may make the mushroom puff as it absorbs moisture easily). Remove and cut the stem then set it aside for the filling.

Step 3:
Place the mushroom in the baking dish with the hole facing up.
Step 4:
In a skillet, add your cooking oil and fry the sausage, chopped mushroom stem, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Add the cream cheese and continue stirring until melted. Then, add the parmesan cheese and the bread crumbs. Stir until fully combined.
Step 5:
Brush the butter on each mushroom cap, spoon the mixture, and stuff each mushroom cap evenly.
Step 6:
Sprinkle the cheddar cheese and parsley on top. Pop it in the oven for about 12-15 minutes or at least until the cheese has melted and turned golden brown.
