I’m totally convinced that all of the old styles have come back around and they are much more flattering than what we’ve seen in the recent past. I love the retro look so this DIY project was right up my alley and I didn’t hesitate to jump right in and make this!
The moment I saw this amazing tutorial had to make this! It’s the perfect swimsuit: good coverage, flattering and with that retro vibe I love. I’m a curvy girl, so swimsuits aren’t my favorite thing to wear, but this one is an exception.
I was looking at old 1940s swimwear photos and was like, “Yeah, I could totally make a bathing suit”. Okay, so I’ve never actually made one before, but hey, it can’t hurt to try.
Instead of less being more, it’s definitely the other way around. I think the old saying about leaving more to the imagination is right on point. Just like the old movies. They left more to the imagination and were a lot scarier without revealing everything, right?
Seriously, if you want to feel like beautiful while enjoying the beach, try it. I was a bit scared since was my first time working with spandex, but instructions are very detailed and everything went smoothly.
