I love cheesecake and I make one for my daughter’s birthday every year. I have made many different kinds but never had I seen a red velvet cheesecake, so I was so excited to find this delicious red velvet cheesecake recipe on Youtube. The red velvet cheesecake was so interesting because it had layers of red velvet cake sliced thinly and cheesecake in between the layers with a delicious icing on top. I knew I had to make this cheesecake for my daughter’s birthday that was coming up in a week and the ingredients were really simple and straightforward.
Ingredients:
For The Cheesecake:
- 2 cups cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/3 cup heavy cream
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
For The Red Velvet Cake:
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp Cocoa powder
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup buttermilk (room temperature)
- 3/4 cups plus 1 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup butter (room temperature)
- 1 to 2 Tbsp Red food coloring
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
For The Icing:
- 1/2 cups Heavy cream
- 1/2 cup butter (softened)
- 2 cups Powdered Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
Directions:
First, bake your cheesecake according to instructions in the video.
Then bake the delicious moist red velvet cake and let cool then slice into layers.
Then stack your red velvet cheesecake in different layers of cheese and cake, the ice the entire thing with your buttercream frosting.
This cheesecake is going to be perfect for my daughter’s birthday, she loves red velvet cake every time I have made it, she is really going to be amazed when she cuts into it and finds the cheesecake inside.
