When I came across The Domestic Geek’s video on Youtube, I was hooked onto how summery this treat looked. It looked very appetizing and fresh for the summer. This is something I could make and bring to a friend’s gathering or a picnic with the girls at the park. After watching this video, I was reassured I wouldn’t be in the kitchen for too long. It’s a light and healthy snack to munch on. The Domestic Geek comes up with one of the best recipes for the summer. I’ve started to find myself on her YouTube channel a lot more in the past month. I’m not much of a raspberry person unless it’s in a spread form such as jam or treats. This is also a vegetarian-friendly snack, breakfast, or dessert. A lot of my friends are vegetarians, and we just love sweets! Honestly, I’m having a picnic this weekend and this will be made. The Domestic Geek is one of the most inventive people when it comes to cooking and recipe making. All of her ideas are new to me and seem very original. She’s someone I recommend every time, and there’s not a time where I skip over her video because they’re so informative to watch.
First, preheat the oven to 350F. Put parchment paper in your 8×8 pan. In a large bowl whisk together the oat flour, oats, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Follow the rest of the instructions by watching The Domestic Geek’s video on Youtube.
Next, pack in the oats into the pan and press it down tightly. Transfer the raspberry sauce to the oat base and crumble the rest of the oat mixture on top.
Finally, bake this layer of yumminess until it is golden. Let these cool down before serving. I love warm desserts, but you don’t want these to fall apart and crumble. It’s going to be hard for me to be patient, but it’ll be worth it in the end.
