I’m sharing this DIY sewing project with you today because I’m pretty excited about this and I have a really good reason to be excited!

I absolutely love these placemats….so much that I started making them as soon as I saw this tutorial. Why? Well, I own a round table and these are perfect, since all of the placemats I own are square.

These are so lovely and unlike any placemats I’d ever seen! I’m actually working on my second set of them, since I have so much leftover material that I could use.

While making my second set of these I decided I would actually make some of these for this upcoming Christmas. I’ve been swearing for years that I was going to get my Christmas shopping done in early, but never seemed to do this. I’m actually going to do that this year!

On Pinterest I noticed that people are making these in a miniature size and calling them “mug rugs” to set their coffee mugs on and they are super cute. So, while I’m at it, I’m gonna give those a shot as well.
