You don’t need to spend a lot of time in the kitchen, making it the perfect dinner dish for busy days. Serve it with white rice, fries, glazed carrots, asparagus, or green beans for a complete meal.
Best Salmon Cake Ingredients
- 2 lb salmon fillet
- 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 1/2 lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon of sriracha sauce
- 1 tablespoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- 1 tablespoon of creole mustard
- 1/2 cup of mayo
- 2 to 3 tablespoons of chives
- 1 teaspoon of onion powder
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of old bay seasoning
- 1 teaspoon of seasoning salt
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
For the sauce:
- mayo
- lemon juice
- sriracha sauce
How to Make Salmon Patties
Step 1:
Drizzle olive oil over the salmon fillet and rub on both sides. In a small bowl, mix onion powder, garlic powder, old bay seasoning, seasoning salt, and paprika. Sprinkle the seasoning mix over the salmon fillets on all sides. Rub it in.
Step 2:
Place a skillet over heat and add butter. Gently place the salmon and cook for 5 minutes per side until fully cooked through. Once cooked, transfer to a bowl.
Step 3:
Using a fork or spoon, mash the salmon into small pieces. Add the creole mustard, sriracha sauce, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, chives, mayo, and breadcrumbs. Mix until well combined.
Step 4:
Form the salmon mixture into patties with your hands. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 5:
Place a cast iron over heat and add oil. Once hot, place the salmon patties and cook until golden brown for about 3 to 5 minutes. Flip and cook the other side.
Step 6:
Make the sauce by combining mayo, lemon juice, and sriracha sauce. Mix well.
Step 7:
Serve salmon patties with the homemade sauce.
