Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
  • 4.5 tablespoons of oil
  • 1/2 cup of yogurt
  • 1 cup and 8 tablespoons of flour
  • 2 and 1/3 teaspoons of baking powder
  • powdered sugar
  • cinnamon
  • butter
  • 2 pieces of apples

Instructions:

Step 1:

Add 3 eggs, 3/4 cup of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence into a big bowl and whisk using a hand mixer. Next, add 4.5 tablespoons of oil and 1/2 cup of yogurt. Mix all ingredients in the bowl until well combined.

Step 2:

Sift the flour and baking powder into the batter to remove the lumps. Fold using a spatula until the mixture becomes smooth. Once done, transfer the batter to a greased baking dish.

Step 3:

Thoroughly wash the apples. Once they are cleaned, remove the core of each one then thinly slice them. Place them on top of the batter upwards. Next, combine cinnamon and powdered sugar in a small bowl. Sift the dry mixture on top of the apples. Slice the butter into tiny pieces then add them on top. Make sure to scatter them.

Step 4:

Place the baking pan or dish inside the oven and bake for about 45 minutes at 338 degrees F or 170 degrees C. Once done baking, remove the cake and sift some more of the cinnamon and powdered sugar mixture on top. Let it cool for a while then transfer to a plate. Slice and serve. Enjoy it with friends or family!
