Potato chip chicken tenders sound like it would have that perfect crisp to crunch breading. I love how Mythical Kitchen comes up with recipes that are not as ordinary and more original. There are three different recipes in this tutorial but if you want to learn how to make the potato chicken tenders, skip to 6:00. The rest of the timestamps are in the description box to make food with potato chips. In the video, the chips that were picked out for this recipe is salt & vinegar chips. You can make these chicken tenders based on whatever chip you like. I would still try it out with the recommended chips, but I think regular wavy potato chips would taste amazing. Get crazy with the recipe and explore other chip options. This potato chip chicken tenders recipe is baked, so it’s semi-healthy, but not really.
First, preheat oven to 400F. Make the buttermilk brine with milk and vinegar together. Set that aside for a couple of minutes to thicken. Get all of the seasoning and eggs mixed together and pour into the buttermilk.
Next, crunch up the salt and vinegar chips until they’re fine powder and coat the chicken tenders in the crushed chips. Put the chicken tenders on top of parchment paper when baking so they do not get stuck. Cook for 20 minutes.
Finally, you can buy any premade sauce to dip with the potato chip chicken tenders. In the tutorial, there is a dipping sauce recipe with mayonnaise, hot sauce of your choice, and garlic salt. I think this would be a great alternative to make chicken tenders and have that nice crunch in every bite.
