There are many cuts of meat that are delicious and perfectly fine to eat and are very affordable. The only problem is that these less expensive cuts of meat can be a bit tough but with the proper treatment this does not have to be the case. When I found this expert meat tenderizing video tutorial by Cooking With Jack Show, on YouTube, I was so excited to try out these new tips on what always turned out to be a tough steak. This method only takes bout 1 to 2 hours, or even as little as 15 depending on how thick or thin your meat is. The rule is to leave the salt on the steak 1-hour per inch thickness of the meat.

Ingredients For Tenderizing A Steak:

  • A steak (any cut is fine)
  • Salt (Kosher salt is best)

Then, you will wash all the salt off of your meat after it has sat on the meat for the appropriate length of time, then cook as you normally would.
