Now here’s an brilliant idea for your home decor and just goes to show you that you can do more with plastic cups than just drink out of them!

Heres a DIY project that you can make out of an abundant resource that you regularly toss, and plastic was the first thing to come to mind. While we highly in favor of recycling all types of plastic products, we also love getting our hands dirty and making really cool stuff out of those bags under the sink or those bottles in the fridge.

I absolutely love unique decor pieces and this one certainly is unique and will definitely have your friends talking! When I saw Frishta’s trendy light made from plastic drinking cups, I just had to learn how to make it – without an electrician and a ton of money.

We had a beautiful 21st birthday party for our daughter in our garden in a semi-formal set up. I was looking for some lights. I didn’t want spot lights. I wanted some soft lighting but enough to light up the area. I came across a few electric and solar lights online, but could not afford to buy 15 lights for 160 dollars each. So I decided to make these.

The ones I did for outdoors were a little different, but same idea. I made one of these for our home the exact same way this gal does in her tutorial attached below.
