Fall season is here and nothing seems to beat all of the sweet recipes. Paula Deen’s tutorial on how to make caramel and candied apples on YouTube is easy to follow because the ingredients are being dumped into a pot. I have never at these before in my life, but they were always so fun to make. I think it gets messy to eat and I’m not a big fan of caramel, however this could be done with melted chocolate too. I was always scared that my teeth were going to break off from eating a caramel apple. Also, this is a popular carnival food, but also great for fall. I love how Paula adds real sticks in the apples because it creates a rustic and fall feel.
First, remove the stem from each apple and press a craft stick into the top. Then, add the 5 top ingredients to a pot and onto the stove until it dissolves. Make sure to stir everything so it doesn’t get stuck onto the bottom of the pot.
Next, continue to watch Paula Deen’s caramel and candied apple tutorial on YouTube for full details and instructions. Then, sprinkle any toppings to your caramel apples.
Overall, these are great party favors and to make with your friends for the holiday season. This would be a great activity to do with your friends such as throwing a fall party to carve pumpkin and make caramel and candied apples. These are great treats to make, and I would make these just to put around as decor in the middle of my kitchen island. Plus it’s super appropriate and festive to make.
