Paper mache is one of my favorite DIY project ideas, so when I found this gorgeous paper mache corner light creation by Kuti Bari, on YouTube, I just had to make one of these. This is such a fabulous idea because you could use this for a freestanding lamp, or use it as an attractive intricate vase that would be perfect for any curio display, or glass cabinet. The materials to make this project are most likely laying around your house right now. The only thing I needed was a paper cup, so I went to Dairy Queen and got a paper cup, which I paid 5 cents for, what a bargain!

Materials For The Paper Mache Lamp Idea:

  • A paper cup
  • A small ball (or balloon)
  • Glue (Elmer’s or Mod Podge)
  • Newspaper scraps
  • Plastic Wrap
  • Craft Paint
  • Paintbrush
  • An Exacto knife
