Ingredients:

  • 32 oz chicken stock
  • 3 1/2 cups of elbow pasta
  • 8 cups of cheese (of your choice)
  • 2 cups of whole milk
  • 1 1/2 cups of heavy cream
  • 3 eggs
  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • seasonings: paprika, salt, ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 stick of butter, slice into cubes

Directions:

Step 1

To start, boil the pasta in a 32 oz chicken stock for seven to eight minutes until al dente, then drain and transfer them to a large mixing bowl. Add the butter and 3/4 cup sour cream. Mix well until incorporated. Next, add your seasonings such as paprika, onion, powder, garlic powder, salt, and ground black pepper (to taste). After this, add 3 cups of shredded cheese of your choice.

Step 2

Next, in a separate bowl, crack three eggs, then add 2 cups of whole milk and 1 1/2 cups of heavy cream. Whisk well. Now, start assembling the mac n cheese. Grease your casserole (or a cast-iron skillet) with some butter, then layer the following in this order: macaroni mixture, shredded cheese, and milk mixture. Repeat this layer three times, then top it with a final layer of shredded cheese, and a sprinkle of paprika. Bake this at 375 degrees F for about 45 minutes to an hour.
