No more noisy squeaks from your garage door once you learned this simple and easy tutorial by AmplifyDIY on YouTube. You only need a few materials to execute this hack but you’ll see a big difference on your garage door. Proceed to read the instructions below and watch the video tutorial as well for a complete walkthrough.
Step 1
Make sure all the hardware is tight to the door and tighten up anything that’s loose. Starting on the hinge pins, apply some lubrication in between the pin and the sleeve that it rolls inside of. Get as much as you can inside and wriggle the wheel around a little bit to spread the solution. Don’t forget to lubricate near the wheel and the bearing as well, then lubricate around the hinges that are right above these. Be generous with your application, then wipe down any excess that drips down with an old sock or rag.

Step 2
Proceed to the hinges and lubricate them similar to the way that you did with the pins for the rollers, remember to apply plenty and be generous, wipe off any excess drips. Every roller pin and hinges on the door should also be applied with a generous amount, then spin around to distribute the solution well. Move up to the arm that connects the door to the trolley and make sure you lubricate both ends, wipe off excess drips. If you have a torsion spring, then simply spray it all over the exposed area and apply it generously.
