This project is quick and easy to recreate – no sewing involved. You only need 2.5-inch strips that will be sub-cut into 2.5-inch squares. Each square is folded in half twice and formed into a triangle. It’s a fun holiday activity you can do with your friends or family. If you are planning to make one, be sure to use solid and printed fabrics to make your tree more interesting. Watch the video below for the full tutorial.

Cut the 2.5-inch strips into 2.5-inch squares.
Get the 5-inch fabric square and use it to cover the bottom of the foam cone. Pin it in place. Take one 2.5-inch square and use it to cover the top. Pin it in place.
Fold your 2.5-inch squares in half diagonally, then iron them. Fold them again in half and iron them one last time.
Start pinning the triangles to the bottom of the foam cone. Make sure that the points are pointing down and that the sides are overlapping each other. The next layers should cover the pins from the layer below. Continue pinning the triangles all the way to the top.
Take a 2.5-inch square. Fold the corners to the center, then iron. Fold the corners toward the center again, and iron one last time. Place it on top of the tree, folded side down. Be sure to hide the pins under the bottom layer of the square.
Decorate the top with the star.
