When I saw this no-sew blue star ornament video tutorial by Ornament Designs, on YouTube, I had to add this to my collection. I had a very large collection of satin handmade ornaments, and I somehow misplaced them in a move, so any way I can help get these treasures back is always a welcome idea. This ornament is not hard to make and there are very few materials needed, most of which I already had laying around the craft room. I had all the pins and glue that I needed, and I found some blank foam ornaments at JoAnn’s Fabrics, where I used my 40 percent off coupons I found on their app. The cashier just scanned the coupons right on my phone, and I got huge savings immediately.

Materials For The Blue Star Ornament:

  • Blank styrofoam balls
  • Some stretch satin scraps
  • Some decorative cord (I got this lovely metallic blue cord at JoAnn’s)
  • Some ribbon
  • Some straight dressmaking pins
  • A tape measure
  • A pen (something with a hard tip that can also score the styrofoam, like a Bic pen)
  • A hot glue gun
  • Glue sticks

Directions:

In this no-sew blue star ornament video tutorial by Ornament Designs, on YouTube, you will learn to make this gorgeous Christmas bauble in a few easy steps. You begin by scoring the pattern onto the styrofoam ball using your tape measure and Bic pen.
