  • orange food color (optional)

For the milk mixture:

  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp agar

Step 1

Cut two oranges and squeeze out 1/2 cup worth of fresh orange juice. (Don’t forget to strain the pulp.) Next, put the 1/2 cup of orange juice into a saucepan followed by 1 cup of water, 3 tbsp sugar, and 1 tsp agar. Stir constantly and bring it to a boil, then let it boil for five minutes. (You can add orange food color at this point if you like.) After this, pour it into a baking dish and place it in the fridge. Leave it for 20 minutes or until set.

Now, take the jello out of the fridge and cut it into pieces. Transfer it to a 6″ pan, then pour the milk mixture over. Place it in the fridge for an hour or until it sets. After it sets, remove it from the pan and transfer it to a plate. Serve.
