Ingredients:

  • 5 cups of milk, divided
  • 4 tbsp corn flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup of hot water
  • 2 tbsp coffee powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 bananas, sliced
  • 30 biscuits (of your choice)

Directions:

Step 1

In a saucepan over medium heat, add 4 cups of milk, and let it come to a simmer while stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, combine 1/2 cup of milk and 4 tbsp of cornflour in a small bowl. Once the milk starts to simmer, add the cornflour slurry slowly while stirring. In another bowl, combine 1/2 cup cocoa powder with 1/2 cup of milk. Mix well, then add this into the saucepan. Continue to mix until combined, then add 1/2 cup of powdered sugar. Transfer it to a bowl and refrigerate in the meantime.

Step 3

Next, in a small bowl, combine 2 tbsp coffee powder, 1 tsp vanilla extract, and 1 cup of hot water. Mix well. Now, assemble the pudding. Soak each biscuit in the coffee mixture, then place them at the bottom of a casserole dish. Next, pour the chocolate pudding, spreading them evenly, then a layer of sliced bananas. Just repeat these layers until you fill up your casserole dish. Finish it by dusting some cocoa powder on top (optional). Chill it in the refrigerator for a couple of hours or overnight for best results.
