When I saw this awesome no-bake banana split cake by Catherine’s Plates, on YouTube, I fell in love with this recipe. In the small town where I grew up, we had a little malt shop called Roger’s and they had the most delicious ice cream. They had a big soft ice cream machine, and also hard ice cream. In fact, they started having the multiple ice cream flavor iced cases before Baskin Robbins opened in the Sixties. The best ice cream dish of all was their famous banana split. So when I saw this banana split cake the wonderful memories of childhood came flooding back. It is about to be my husband’s birthday, so I really want to surprise him with this cake. I know he’s going to love it because he ate at Roger’s too when we were high school sweethearts.
