If you like sweet treats, I am certain you will love these crunchy bars by Jasvini Foods. This recipe only requires two ingredients, and it doesn’t require baking! It’s also gluten-free and flour-free. Plus, you can make these goodies in just 10 minutes. How quick is that? Serve these with coffee or tea for a perfect snack.
Note: honey is not recommended as substitute of maple syrup in this recipe as it loses its benefits when cooked and can also become harmful when cooked
Get your baking tray and brush it with oil on all sides, then place a baking sheet on top of it. Make sure the edges are lined too. This will help to pull it out easily later. Set it aside.
Place a pan over heat and add one cup of sesame seeds. Roast over low heat for a few minutes until it becomes light brown. Make sure to stir it constantly to avoid burning.
Add one-half cup of maple syrup to the sesame seeds. It will instantly bubble once you pour it. Mix and let it cook for about five minutes. Continuously mix it so it will not burn. It will become thick. If it doesn’t spread more throughout the pan.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan. Spread it evenly with a silicone spatula. Use a glass with a flat bottom to press it down. Set it aside and let it cool down for about two to three minutes.
Once cooled, remove it from the pan by pulling out the parchment paper, then place it on a flat surface or chopping board. Slice it into bars. Remove from the parchment paper and serve. Enjoy!
