A healthier alternative is this 3-ingredient natural homemade painkiller. This contains rosemary, olive oil, and Himalayan salt. Rosemary is used to treating muscle pains, joint pains, and headaches. Olive oil, on the other hand, reduces swelling and soothes soreness. It also dilutes the oil and protects the skin from any unwanted rashes that could result from the concentrated rosemary oil. Add 20 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, 5 drops of rosemary essential oil, and 10 tablespoons of Himalayan salt to a bowl or container. You can also use Epsom salt as an alternative. Mix until well combined.
Transfer the mixture to a glass jar with a lid. Seal it and store it for 48 hours.
Apply it to the affected area when you wake up in the morning. It can be your back or knees. If you are experiencing headaches, put some on your temples. Massage the oil for a few minutes, then allow it to sit for about 20 minutes. Use a damp cloth to wipe the remaining oil. To see improvements, use this for 10 days.
