Two favorite things in my world, Mountain Dew and I love jelly so the two together are a fantastic idea in my books! When I saw this recipe on Youtube I went wild and had to try it immediately. This jam is sweeter than traditional jams and absolutely amazing. This jam is also made using Sure-Jell as a thickening agent and the Mountain Dew Jelly tastes delicious on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. I started by getting my ingredients together:

Ingredients:

• 4 Cups of Mountain Dew
• 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
• 4 Cups of Sugar
• 3 Mason Jars (pint size)

Pour your 4 cups of Mountain Dew into a large saucepan

Bring to a boil then add one packet of sure jell

Then add sugar and bring to a boil, then boil for 2 minutes

Then you just pour your amazing Mountain Dew Jelly into Mason Jars and close the lids (be mindful they are hot so be careful)

When your lids are secure place all your jars in a large pot filled with water (completely submerge), then boil for 10 minutes. This is an old canning method your Great Grandma might have used and will seal your jelly lids securely and make your delicious Mountain Dew Jelly shelf stable.

This Mountain Dew Jelly Recipe is so amazing and it’s that lovely iridescent chartreuse color we all know and love! Try it on peanut butter sandwiches, plain toast, or just about anything. My husband put some on a Deer Steak Sandwich last night and he said it was amazing!
