One of the things you can do to keep these insects from biting is to spray mosquito repellent. There are tons of sprays available in stores, but making it at home is even better since it doesn’t have chemicals, and you know what you put on your skin. Mosquito Repellent Materials

• 1 teaspoon of pure cinnamon oil
• 1 tablespoon of pure vanilla extract
• regular vodka or witch hazel
• 1 1/2 cups of filtered or pure water
• spray bottle

Note: you want to use cinnamon oil in small quantities as it can irritate the skin. Test it on very small areas of your skin and wait for 24 hours to see if there is any reaction before you spray it all over your arms.

How to Make a Mosquito Repellent Spray

In a spray bottle, add 1 teaspoon of pure cinnamon oil, 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract, and 1 tablespoon of vodka or witch hazel. Fill it with 1 1/2 cups of filtered or pure water. Place the lid and shake it well. Make sure to label it properly.

Store it in your fridge to extend its storage life. If you keep it in a hot place, like in your greenhouse, storage shed, or garage, it will not last long.
