  • 1 lb thinly sliced deli ham, divided
  • 12 oz Swiss and Gruyere cheese, shredded (divided)
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

To Serve:

  • powdered sugar

Directions:

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F and grease a 9 x 13 casserole dish with butter. Set it aside. Next, lay five pieces of white bread at the bottom of the casserole, then spread 1 tbsp stone ground Dijon mustard on the bread. After this, lay 1/2 lb of thinly sliced deli ham over, sprinkle 6 oz of shredded Swiss and Gruyere cheese, then lay down four more pieces of white bread. Spread 1 tbsp strawberry jam on the bread, then lay the rest of the deli ham and another 3 oz shredded Swiss and Gruyere cheese. Finish the casserole with a final layer of white bread on top.
